Frequently Asked Questions

What is Stem Cell Rejuvenation?

The revolutionary approach to anti-aging, implementing information known to scientists for years, more precisely that unipotent stem cells lie dormant in the skin and provide the building blocks for healing when you sustain a burn or cut. Until recently, physicians had no convenient way to stimulate those stem cells to grow new tissue. By utilizing the growth factors found in the blood (specifically the platelets), we can now activate the unipotent stem cells already existent in the skin to tell those cells to grow new, younger-appearing skin.

We give our patients what they are looking for. A natural alternative to synthetic fillers without the concern for allergic reactions or unwanted side effects.

According to several studies, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) must contain platelet counts of at least 4 - 6 times baseline in order to be therapeutic. PRP is rich in platelet growth factors as well as a fibrin matrix - the essentials for inducing collagen production and skin rejuvenation.

Platelet Poor Plasma is also a rich source of fibrin matrix which has been used for extra injection sites including the hands and upper arms, or as a mask post laser resurfacing.

Within a matter of minutes, your practitioner can create autologous, which means from you to you, PRP and activate your stem cells

During the process of the Vampire FaceLift® , Vampire Breast Lift , the O-shot, the Priapus Shot Procedures™, stem cell science is used to tell the body to grow new younger skin. Unipotent stem cells, which grow only one specific tissue, and can be found in every part of the body are activated. For example, unipotent stem cells in the liver grow new liver tissue, unipotent stem cells in the skin grow new skin, etc. The Platelet Rich Plasma procedures , take the cosmetic rejuvenation process to a higher, safe and cost effective level, without pain, unwanted side effects or downtime.

The non-invasive way to natural results for face and body lift

It's a synthetic absorbable surgical suture composed of polydioxanone. PDO sutures are used to perform cardiothoracic surgery (such as open-heart surgery). It's one of the safest materials to be implanted in the body.
Your skin fully absorbs it within 4 to 6 months & won't leave you with any scar tissue.

In medical terms "Selective Inflammatory Response", it is the principle behind a lot of aesthetic procedures (such as Fractional Laser, Chemical Peels & MicroNeedling). Our skin is very good at repairing itself, and by inserting NOVATHREADS we make it 'heal' itself by creating new collagen, naturally!

Yes, PDO is fully absorbable, but that doesn't mean your skin won't react to it. During the 4 to 6 months needed to fully absorb the PDO suture, your skin is also repairing itself around it.
It's "controlled healing" happening underneath the skin!
Dissolvable PDO Threads

The NovaThreads are needles that are pre-loaded with a PDO thread. Simply insert the whole needle in the interstitial tissue at subdermal level, parallel to the surface of the skin, & pull the needle out.

The PDO thread remains under the skin.

Although NOVATHREADS can be inserted almost anywhere, one area where they are especially effective is the neck and jawline. The lower third of the face is challenging to treat effectively with botulinum toxin or injectable fillers, which are most effective in the upper and middle third of the face, respectively.

A beautiful and healthy face has a "V-shape". With the ageing of tissues and the action of gravity, this "V-shape" diminishes or inverts. The idea behind the NovaMesh and the NovaLyft technique is to either create a scaffolding in order to support the tissues and keep them in the "V-shape" or where necessary to delicately lift the tissues and reposition the skin to recreate the "V-shape" where it's been lost.

NovaMesh, consists of creating a mesh under the skin (i.e. 2 sutures inserted vertically & 3 sutures horizontally). Sort of like a #hashtag, or a net. This Mesh will serve as the foundation for our new collagen production. The NovaMesh tightens the skin naturally from within. Results appear naturally, without any drastic change!

NovaLyft is utilized to produce a more dramatic and immediate result. The PDO sutures have "barbs" or "cogs", which provide a grip underneath the skin. Sutures are inserted the same way, except they can be pulled in 1 or 2 directions, creating an instant skin repositioning. Just like the NovaMesh, the skin will then build new collagen which will secure the lift!

The number and type of threads required will determine the price of your procedure.

Vampire Facelift

Balancing Your Decision

With so many ways to improve the face and with countless products and procedures available, why look for a better way?

Although there can be a place for a surgical facelift, such procedures are not necessarily a panacea or cure-all to the concerns of the aging face. Cosmetic surgery when needed can remove excess skin and make the person appear younger. However, a surgical facelift can actually contribute to a face collapse as the skin stretches tighter against the bone making the person look skeletonized.

With hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, the face is truly lifted away from the bone and youthful volume can be restored to a beautiful shape. With that in mind, the HA fillers should not be used around specific areas near the eye. Furthermore, the injector must be careful to avoid creating a shape that looks foreign to the person's face or even foreign to this planet. Also, the HA fillers are not extremely effective for improving skin tone and texture.

Our unique injection technique is based on the Science and Mathematics of Pure Beauty, Leonardo da Vinci's topographical map that fits any beautiful face. We ensure that in applying this technique, we do not change the original structure and shape of one's face, but revive the patient's existing beauty, turning back the clock and removing years of damage from their skin.

The procedure may be too much for some and not enough for others, but you don't need to wonder. Simply contact one of the providers listed either by phone or by e-mail and tell them that you've been to They will know that you understand the procedure and will quickly arrange a cosmetic evaluation based upon these powerful ideas about restoring beauty!

Questions about Exilis
How are cellulite treatments different from Liposuction?

Our cellulite treatment program is not a surgical procedure. Treatments do not involve breaking the skin in any way. We achieve remarkable results by reducing the size of the fat cells, while tightening the skin.

How soon will I see results from cellulite treatments?

Usually patients notice changes within 7 - 8 sessions. However, 14 is the average number of treatments recommended for maximum results.

How many cellulite treatments can I have in one week?

Two cellulite treatment sessions per week are recommended. For those on a diet, or in the process of losing a significant amount of weight, or those with long-term problematic cellulite, one treatment a week is recommended if proper nutrition is maintained.

How long does each cellulite treatment session last?

Treatment sessions last about 35 minutes. We focus on your problem areas, but time is given to other areas to stimulate circulation and fatty acid elimination.

Who are the best candidates for cellulite treatments?

The best candidates for cellulite treatments are:

  • in good health
  • have good skin tone
  • have realistic expectations.

Our unique, whole body approach stimulates your body to reduce the appearance of cellulite while reshaping your figure. It is the ultimate advancement in body contouring and skin conditioning.

This reshaping technique efficiently produces results using a refreshing, non-surgical procedure applied through a course of weekly sessions. It enhances skin condition and goes where no other available treatment can (without surgery) in combating fatty deposits that cause cellulite.

What results can I expect from cellulite treatments?

After your series of cellulite treatments, you will likely notice an improvement in your skin tone. The appearance of stretch marks and loose skin may be improved. Many patients report that they are able to lose weight more easily while in treatment.

Do cellulite treatments replace diet and exercise?

No. We highly recommend that you add hydration, diet and exercise to your daily routine while you are undergoing cellulite treatments. For most patients this improves results.

Exilis contraindications: pregnant or lactating females and patients with metal implants in the body and/or heart regulating devices.

Questions About Micro-Needling
What is Automated Micro-Needling?

Automated Micro-Needling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of fine lines, acne scars and improvement of the skin's overall appearance. During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin. The skin's repair process results in a thicker dermis with the appearance of softer wrinkles. Eclipse Micropen™ also creates superficial micro-channels which allow topical gels, creams and serums to be absorbed more effectively into the skin.

What are the Benefits?

The benefits of micro-needling are a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, younger-looking skin with fewer signs of aging. Eclipse Micropen™ also has a positive effect on hyper-pigmentation as well as on hypo-pigmentation, acne scars, traumatic scars and stretch marks and generally creates a fresher appearance or glow to the skin.

What areas of the body can I treat?

Eclipse Micropen™ can be used on all parts of the body; Face, neck, décolleté, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back.

How is the procedure done?

A sterile needle-tip containing 12 tiny micro-needles is attached to the Eclipse Micropen™. Your skincare professional will apply a thin layer of topical gel to your skin and select the appropriate treatment depth based on your unique needs. Next, in a single motion, the pen will be gently pressed against the skin while simultaneously gliding in one direction until the entire treatment area has been covered.

What does it Feel Like?

The feeling associated with the Eclipse Micropen™ is similar to light sandpaper being moved across the skin. While some areas are more sensitive than others, the speed of the reciprocating needle tip reduces discomfort while the applied hydrating gel also makes the treatment more tolerable.

How long does the procedure take?

The procedure takes 15-30 minutes depending on the size of the area treated.

What is the downtime?

Immediately after the treatment you will notice a bright redness to the skin. The total healing time depends on the depth of needles used and the number of overlapping passes your skincare professional performs. On average, patients are red up to 2 to 4 days. Some patients heal completely in as little as 24 hours. Utilizing the Eclipse Skin Revive System™, or other quality skincare products, provided by your skincare provider, can help to speed up the healing process.

When will I see the results? Patients notice an immediate "glow" to their skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several days and weeks. Results continue to improve up to 6 months after the treatment as collagen production continues.

How many treatments will I need? Some patients only require a single treatment, once per year to achieve optimal results. However, it is recommended for most patients to receive a series of 2-3 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart. For patients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars it is recommended to receive 6-8 sessions at 6 week intervals.
